Today we celebrate Giving Tuesday by expressing our deepest thanks and gratitude for the generous financial support of so many of you within our community. You have supported the Library by purchasing books at book sales and giving little by little at the donation barn at the front desk. Today is the final day of the matching gift period from the Smoky Valley Community Foundation and you have already given the full match eligible amount of $5,000 to the Library’s Endowed Fund, doubling the impact for the Library.

We are honored to announce that the Library has received a generous gift of $264,000 from the Gretta L. Small Estate. Notification of this intended gift allowed for the possibility of purchasing the library expansion at 109 S Main in 2023. It has been received as an even more generous gift than we originally thought, providing funding for the purchase price of 109 S Main, with additional funds available to go towards remodeling costs. As her estate is now one of the top three donors supporting our building project, please join us in celebrating the generosity of Gretta L. Small (1933-2022), Board Member, Donor, and Friend of Lindsborg Community Library!

Thanks to all of our generous donors we have now raised a total of $757,000 for the building project, with $566,000 of those funds designated for construction costs. This brings us much closer to our total fundraising goal, which is now estimated at $334,000 more for a complete remodel of the entire Library.
