Building Project Phase One is Nearly Done!
We are so excited to announce that the first construction phase of our building project is almost complete — they just took down the plastic sheeting so you can start to catch a glimpse!
This means that we will be resetting the Library into the expanded layout. Stock up on your library materials now because we will be closed starting Thursday, July 17. The tentative plan is to complete the reset by Wednesday, July 23, but that is subject to change depending on how quickly it all comes together.
Thursday will be Librarians only, as we continue working with our electrician & technology consultants on final details.
Starting Friday, we are looking for volunteers to help us with the reset: tasks will include moving bookcases, moving library collections, moving overhead signs, and more. Both youth (age 12+ if unaccompanied) & adults are welcome come-and-go style, 10AM – 6PM. Librarians will break for lunch midday & volunteers are welcome to join us for pizza!
This will also be the tentative schedule for Saturday & Monday – Wednesday, subject to how much work is completed each day. We will keep you updated on our progress & when we are able to reopen, serving our community out of the new expanded library!
