The Lindsborg Community Library is taking applications for a Library Clerk to work 16-20 hours weekly starting May 13, 2024. Job descriptions are available on request. Apply in person at the Library, 111 South Main, Lindsborg, KS by April 15, 2024.

With three weeks left to the year, it’s time for an update on our challenge grant!
In September 2023 an anonymous donor issued a $100,000 challenge grant to the Library, with the intent to encourage others to donate to the Building Project. As of December 8, $14,315 of the challenge grant has been met. Overall, $226,980 of designated funds are now secured towards the $880,000 fundraising goal.

An anonymous donor has gifted the Lindsborg Community Library with a $100,000 challenge grant. Intended to encourage others to donate, this grant will match donations given towards the Library Building Project from now through December 31, 2023.
Founded in 1960 and first located at 124 N Main (currently The Ivory Thimble), the Lindsborg Community Library has been located in three increasingly larger spaces, moving to the current location at 111 S Main in 1989. The Library is once again in the process of adding more space for library services: the adjacent building at 109 S Main was purchased in Spring 2023 and architectural plans have been created and approved to remodel both buildings into one improved library service center.
Raising $880,000 will cover estimated costs for construction, fixtures, and furnishing this library expansion and remodel. Between grant applications and community giving, the Library Board hopes to secure sufficient funding by early 2024 to enable scheduling construction dates. While timing is not yet set, minimal disruption of library services to all patrons will be a priority.
